Mini Collective Haul: E.L.F, BeautyBlender, NYX, and Makeupgeek store

Sorry, I haven't been too active lately, June is full of essays/midterms PLUS, I don't have my camera with me but luckily I remember I made a couple purchases before that I haven't shared with you guys yet and that I have already taken some pictures of them!! =] So this will do =]...

*****I bought stuff from E.L.F. and from Marlena's Makeupgeek Store with my own money******

Let me start with ELF and then I'll move on to the things I bought from Marlena (Youtuber), I only got 3 things.

Everything came inside this ELF plastic bag. Surprisingly my package came really fast, took about 2 weeks instead of 1 month!! =] and they didn't charge me extra custom fees like my previous order maybe because I only bought a few things this time instead of the $100 I spent last time. One con was that they left out one item from my list because they sold out and they didn't adjust my bill =[. But it's okay it's only $3 and it was probably one of the free items because I had a coupon code for 5 free eye and lip Studio Products when you spend $25 or more.
-Everything shown on the picture below are priced as follow:
- Regular Line = $1
- Studio Line = $3
-Studio Line 32- E/S palette = $5
-Shipping fees varies by country
- But never buy ELF without a coupon code because there's always one!

Out of the bag in their packaging, missing the 32-eyeshadow Palette: Everyday Basic

Out of the package, note the false lashes are brown! because they ran out of black and I really wanted to try some lashes. These are my first ones ever.

From left to right, top to bottom
-Studio Line Blush: Peachy Keen, Candid Coral, Mellow Mauve
-Studio Line Complexion Brush, Regular Line Eyeshadow brush, Studio Line: Cream Eyeliner in Black, Single E/S in Saddle and Butter Cream and Regular Line Lucious Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips
-Natural Lash Kit in Brown
- Studio Line: Conditioning Lip Balm SPF 15 in Nice and Natural and they left out my Peaceful Pink =[

Bad picture with flash: But you can see the blushes better =]First impression is that the blushes look sooo similar in real life, eye shadows are not pigmented, eyesadow brush seems stiff, liquid lipstick has so little product. But definitely loving the complexion brush, cream eye liner and the super pigmented conditioning lip balm s2

$5.00 USD
32 Eyeshadow Palette in Everyday Basics

With Flash

A sample swatch of some shadows with no primer underneath. There are not that pigmented but still great to play around with as a beginner so I don't over load my brush with pigmented shadow that I can't reverse! and this entire palette is only $5! I think it's totally worth it.

ELF: Subtotal was $25 USD and after shipping and handling my total came to $35 CAN =]

Will be doing more in depth review/swatch/pictures after I have tried them for a while (might take long since I rarely use makeup specially eye makeup =P)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now on to Makeupgeek's Store =]. I got a great deal because she has good prizes in comparison to the official retailers. For example, I bought two BeautyBlender sponges for $22.99 USD (but now it cost $23.99 ><) in comparison to $25.99 USD at sephora.com
2 BeautyBlender, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (matte white) and Makeupgeek bent eyeliner brush (dislike it, can't deliver a thin line)
$22.99 but now selling for $23.99
-2 BeautyBlender, comes with a sample of their cleanser which I have not tried yet but I love the beautyblender and I seriously use this every single day and stopped using all my foundation brushes. Can turn your cakey powder foundation into a dewy silky foundation that still delivers coverage s2
$3.49 USD
-NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk (Matte white, love to use this to highlight my brow bone and tear duct).
Pigmented, very creamy and blendable
Picture taken from www.makeupgeek.com
$3.49 USD
Don't quite like this yet because I can't get a thin line with this brush but will still use this, maybe with an dark eye shadow to create a thicker softer line for a natural look?
Is that a spelling mistake? or is that the actual name? Idk
My purchase at Makeupgeek came to a total of around $35 shipping included (No tax!) and shipping came really fast around 1-2 weeks
Alright that's my mini haul from last month =].. Let me know if you've tried anything you see here, did you like it? hate it? or do you want anything you see but haven't got the chance to purchase it? Comment below and hope you all are having a nicee weekend, I know I am and Jessy totally made my day^^. Will update you guys soon on why I'm so happy!!! Talk to you girls soon =]
the reflection in the elf blushes tricked me, haha! i had thought for a minute they came out with new blushes and i was about ready to check the elf website!
i see that you're living in canada. i recently purchased a bent liner brush from shoppers drug mart from the QUO brand. i love it! it draws super thin lines, and i think it's perfect for wing liner. wait for a 40% off sale, they have them quite occasionally. i think it was about 10$!
ive never tried ELF blush b4, i luv their bronzer from the studio line and their regular line~~~their 1 dollar shadow quads are pretty good too~~~lol, i still like to use pencil liner/liquid for my eyes~~~i feel gel liners dont last as long as liquid ones, and pencil ones are easier the control~~~but Gel liners do have a better colour pay off~~~~Then again i like to draw thick lines when im doing eye make up~~~and i agree with A, Quo has amazing brushes~~~especially when they go on sale for like 40%-60% off, so affordable and really good quality~~~
luv
your very welcome :)
what a great haul btw. All that for that much or for that little I should say. I always wanted to experiment with makeup but sadly for me its neutral shades on my eyes, and whatever powder/foundation doesn't break me out. I can't seem to wear blushes as they break me out.
ohh the elf everyday basic looks so pretty!! i wish they had that when i had ordered the everyday mini palette from them before.. i got the everyday brights.. and i've found that a lot of the colors are too bright for me to use reguarly.. your everyday basics look so pretty and neutral for everday use.
well idont use MAC foundation so i wouldnt know~~~but right now i use BB cream as a concealer for cover my pores around my nose~~~i rarely use it for my entired face to replace my foundation, except one, the Magic BB by Etude House, which i guess its my favorite BB, since it covers alrite, but the colour is better, like its not grey-ish you know~~~but more of a yellow tint~~~i use laniege foundation in 21 oe 23 now cuz i got tanned in cuba
hey hun, nice haul! i ordered twice from elf before and both times were giant orders, but they always charge me custom fees which i hate. I want to order from them again ahaha, they have so many new things i want to try out
I always wanted to get the 2beatyblender but I ended up using the Sonia one. btw I tagged you!
Great haul! I am a huge fan of the ELF Studio blushes - I have Candid Coral and Peachy Keen as well :D
I've always been intrigued by the Beauty Blender sponges but I'm not sure it's something that I would be willing to splurge on, especially since I usually just use my fingers to apply my bb creams. I hear Sonia Kashuk makes a pretty good dupe for the sponges though :)
Jessy said...
i think its a good idea~~~if its too light just go over iwth a light hand of powder foundation~~~~but BB cream are sooo good at hiding pores~~~but just make sure you you properly remove it at the end of the nite~~~
ohh there was one time i ordered from elf and they never charged my visa! i don't know if they missed it or theres a glitch but i ended up not having to pay for that order ahha, that was the luckiest time. Not any more though haha
i heard of ebates! but i never used it before. I heard you get money back and everything. I'll try it! Thanks!!!
great haul!! i agree that elf blushes are so similar to each other. And it takes awhile to get any color on your cheeks. gotta really pack it on. I actually love their bronzers though. the warm bronzer is really pretty.
ELF is my guilty pleasure, cuz their stuff is so cheap and its good quality mostly too! I LOVE your haul :D
Awesome haul Alx! (:
I love how affordable ELF can be. I always feel like I'm saving tons! Yeah, the eyeshadow brush is a bit stiff & prickly but it does the job of patting shadow on. The complexion brush is so soft! Love it :D I also have their blush in tickled pink and lip conditioner in mellow melon. Haha, both I love. When I first got mellow melon, I couldn't stop saying "mellow melon". Lol, it just sounds so mellow & cute.
Review on the ELF cream liner? (:
Btw, congrats on winning Jessy's giveaway! <3
Wow!! Look at your ELF haul!! :) I hope you're loving them! I really like their blushes, especially the darker ones because they are really pigmented :)
I forgot to ask you today if you tried on the elf blushes!!
Tell me if it's good and then I'll get that along with my bronzer and blahblah all in one go from elf. that $1.98shipping only applies to usa -.- for canada, they just knock off $4.98 off our shipping fees of $14.98? -_- so I figured that for elf, I'll have to get a gigantic haul to save up on the shipping.. grrr...!
P.S. At STC today, I discovered that Urban Planet sells elf.. but only their lipglosses :(
I LOVE NYX jumbo pencils... I use the white one for everything--from base to highlight and to mix colors. Love it!!!
Mara said...
That is quite the haul from ELF and I agree with you about using a coupon when buying from ELF. IT's the best trick to buying online.
BTW I love NYX's milk pencil too. It's so versatile.
Hey!! Omg I missed so many of your posts! I'm not getting any of your blog updates in my feeds for some reason. The last one was on June 2nd O__o I thought you had disappeared or taken a break or something! Wow you got so many ELF things! I was thinking about making a purchase since there's a 50% off the studio line going on right now (since that's the only line I'm interested in). Hmmm.
